Design Process
An initial discussion will allow me to collect the necessary information to begin drafting your project. With your ideas and suggestions and my expertise I will start by producing a preliminary set of plans for your review. Once you have reviewed the plans you may provide feedback regarding any revisions you would like me to make. I will revise the plans and provide an updated set of plans. This process is generally repeated as many times as necessary as we fine tune all of the details.
Once we have a set of plans that we are happy with I will work through all of the structural details, ensuring that we have met or exceeded all building code standards and local by-law requirements. I will then provide a fully detailed and noted set of plans for one last review. At this point I highly recommend you send the plans to any potential contractors for their feedback as well.
If any final changes need to be made I will make them promptly and then issue a final set of plans that will be used for permit application and construction.
After the final plans have been issued I will continue to be a resource for any information for the duration of the construction and beyond.
